Bus Travel within Braunschweig
To get to the church, where ZOOM is located, from the main train station (“Hauptbahnhof”), you go just outside the FRONT exit of the main station doors to several bus stops underneath a large covered roof area. (There are taxis there as well.) Take Bus 461, or M19 or M29. They leave every 5 -8 minutes. A ride costs 1.90 €. You will arrive at the bus stop beside the church (“Kälberwiese”) in about 13- 20 minutes. Ask the bus driver or a passenger to help you know where to get off. You can see the church, with a large cross on it, as you arrive on the main “ring” street.
The buses around the “ring” leave every 10-12 minutes, until 22:50 p.m., at which point they leave about every 30 minutes. The Friedenskirche Church is just a 1 minute walk to the “Haltestelle” (bus stop) which has the same name as the street that it’s on: Kälberwiese.
